Description: Health professions’ schools, academic partners, and practitioners across the health system and in other sectors are engaged in steady progress to bridge the gap between interprofessional education and successful collaborative practice.  In this session, hear updates on effective initiatives by the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC), the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education, and Florida A&M University’s College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Institute of Public Health (IPH) that contribute to a learning health system in which interprofessional education and research influences practice and vice versa.  The speakers will engage the audience on areas to help ensure that interprofessional education translates into system-level changes that improve health outcomes.
