Summary: ASPPH member schools and programs of public health strive to build and maintain relationships with governmental public health agencies in order to train the future public health workforce and collaborate on projects that enhance the health of populations. This session will explore several types of relationships recently studied between academic institutions and governmental public health agencies, including the results of a study by ASPPH looking at governmental public health student practicums; a review of a flexible model for experiential learning; and an indepth look at Academic Health Departments.
